This audio compilation reflects a variety of studio experiences that include studio production, audio engineering, songwriting, programming, and more.

John Hiler says that while he has lived in Chicago and Los Angeles most of his adult life, he’s still a New Yorker at heart (and mouth).  No matter where he is based, though, he’s producing, mixing, engineering, programming, arranging, and writing. Even though John’s work has touched almost every conceivable musical genre, it still seems almost nonsensical that his studio credits are such a sonic melting pot: Rihanna, Stephen Stills, Smashing Pumpkins, Madonna, Liz Phair, and more.  So it is within that obvious range that lies the unique trademark of John’s conceptual philosophy of producing music. John counts among his music mentors, some of whom he’s worked alongside in-studio, Rick Rubin, Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois, Malcolm McLaren, Richard Perry, Jerry Harrison (and many others who won’t return his calls).
